Vision Record has been specifically tailored to meet the regulatory and compliance requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) – formally the Financial Services Authority (FSA) - and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

All recorded calls are stored using AES 256 bit encryption, making them secure and tamperproof. In addition to encrypted recordings, the FCA requires many financial organisations to record their mobile telephone calls. The recording of these calls enables disputes to be managed in a climate where more and more business calls are carried out over the mobile network. Vision Record enables incoming and outgoing mobile calls to Splicecom’s SelectVoice range of soft, hard and virtual PBX platforms to be recorded and be accessible through the Vision Record web interface and are treated in an identical manner to desktop phone calls.

To meet the PCI requirement that the three-digit CVV number on the back of credit cards number is not recorded, Vision Record allows users to tell the call recording system not to record the part of the call where the customer tells them this sensitive information, either manually or automatically. The user can enter the ‘stop recording’ command during the call to pause recording and the ‘start recording’ command to resume. This can also be instigated automatically by integrating the relevant Vision Record commands with the enter and exit CVV field operation in the client application. In both cases the CVV number will not be recorded, whilst the rest of the call is, being easily available for playback using the Vision Record web based interface.

The provision of call recording as an integrated application, independent of end-point device, location or trunk type, delivers a sophisticated, flexible and easy to use solution that is considerably more cost-effective than expensive 3rd party alternatives.
