SpliceCom Nominated Twice For Top Awards

SpliceCom, Britain's leading developer of telephone systems, has been voted a finalist in two categories of the prestigious Comms Business Awards 2104.

The SpliceCom 5500 Network Service Gateway – a cornerstone of the British vendor's Hybrid system architecture - the fusing of Cloud/Hosted Services with Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) into a single system - features In the "Channel Product – Hardware" section. The 5500 Network Service Gateway resides on the customer site(s) and delivers full functionality, remote site survivability in the event of primary IP link failure between locations for SpliceCom's S8000 Soft PBX and 5100 Call Server based systems. This sophisticated fail-over solution operates totally independent of wherever the main IP PBX is located; on the customer's premise, hosted or in the cloud. The 5500 Network Service Gateway offers local call breakout over ISDN PRI/BRI or SIP trunks, alongside the ability to host voicemail, auto attendant, IVR and call recording services.

The "Channel Product – On Premise Software Application" category features SpliceCom's S8000 Soft PBX family. This range of four IP PBX variants supports 8 to 1,000+ users and delivers all of the familiar, award-winning Maximiser OS features originally found in the 5 Series Call Servers/Hard PBX. Offering businesses unrivalled choice in terms of deployment, management and use, all S8000 Soft PBX systems can be easily upgraded and expanded, providing outstanding investment protection. Developed, like all of SpliceCom's core products, by the same UK team that was behind Avaya's original IP Office, the S8000 IP PBX operates as a single unified system with the Vision Business Management application, SSL Gateway for secure mobile and remote working and all of the 5 Series Call Servers and Gateways – because they've been designed from day one to do so.

SpliceCom have seen sales of the S8000 Soft PBX family double over the past four months, further enhanced by the introduction of a 5th variant to the family – the S716 single-site Soft PBX for smaller businesses. The S8000 Soft PBX family, like all of SpliceCom's core telephony apps, run in native Linux and virtual computing environments.

The award winners will be announced during a gala dinner and presentation ceremony, hosted by Jimmy Carr, at the Lancaster London Hotel on June 19th.
